A magnificent “glamping” company is stirring up controversy in Hawaii’s tranquil Waimanalo group, Hawaii Information Now described.  

The outlet says that Glamping Hawaii, which gives a “significant-end camping and celebration encounter,” has been accused of illegally propping up tents just yards away from homeless family members in the county beach park. This controversy arrives just after Invoice 38 was signed into legislation, which prohibits most industrial things to do like weddings and image shoots from Waimanalo to Makapuu. Now, the company — which is also run by a group of Californians who a short while ago moved to Hawaii — is reportedly under investigation by the town of Honolulu. 

“This was not just a camping outfit. This was glamping in its total hewa supply. I necessarily mean, it was a bar, a tall bar, established up with bar stools,” Waimanalo Community Board Member Kapua Medeiros advised the outlet.  

In accordance to their website, Glamping Hawaii delivers extravagant tent offers that can be outfitted with 5-foot-tall teak kitchens, fireplace pits, and bars for added charges. Even though they really do not list offer costs, Hawaii Information Now says they price “several hundred dollars” for every night time. 

Company reps advised the outlet they did not think they were being violating the regulation, stating that patrons are responsible for obtaining camping permits. Nonetheless, Hawaii Information Now claims this may well also be illegal as permits are not transferable. 

Emma Koa, a Waimanalo indigenous and enterprise operator, told the outlet that she confronted the business house owners in individual and accused them of peddling a “romanticized” version of Hawaii to travellers. Glamping Hawaii did not answer to SFGATE’s request for remark at the time this write-up was written.
